Axum Coffee’s newest Giving Blend, featuring our brand new African blend, is available now online or on the shelves of our cafes!
With notes of baker’s chocolate, toffee, and cola, our new medium roast African blend combines several of our customer favorites from Ethiopia and other countries. Our coffee development team at Axum is excited for our customers to try this unique and delicious blend!
Axum Coffee is thrilled that a portion of the proceeds from our current Giving Blend will be going to our new Goodness Partner, Fundaniños. For 22 years, Fundaniños has been caring for Guatemalan children that come from hard backgrounds.
Fundaniños three goals for the children they serve are for are:
- HAPPY: Our home is a safe place that provides for the physical and emotional needs of each of the children here. Given the troubled backgrounds of our children, we operate with the understanding that many of the children do not come from emotionally stable pasts and often live in a state of constant alertness or defensiveness. Our hope is that their time here will be joyful and contrast with the many hardships they have faced in their lives.
- INDEPENDENT: In an effort to guide the children to become adults who can take care of themselves, we want to lay foundation stones such as empowering their individual life stories. We work with them to develop a life plan, evaluate their interests, expose them to learning opportunities, and develop life skills necessary to sustain themselves. We place an increased focus on independence as they enter their teenage years, and walk alongside each young adult, guiding them as they step out on their own.
- CHRISTIAN: Fundaniños is a home founded on Christian principals. Our team, through all we do, works to demonstrate the Gospel in both word and deed. Our desire is to encourage the children to build lifelong relationships with God, and walk in fellowship with Him, founding their lives in Christian principals.
